Next knife project - Advice requested

I have a question I hope to get a good answer on soon. I'm about ready to put bolsters on another knife with this design.
I used brass bolsters on the last and didn't really like the brass I used.
I'm planning now on Desert Ironwood scales with the macassar ebony for bolsters.
My question is this, the ironwood grain will run with the length of the handle. Would it be a cardinal sin to run the grain of the ebony with the 45ish back-sweep of the plunge?
Sort of like this:

...\\\\================================
.....\\\\================================

I like the idea of it, but I really don't want to mess this knife up. It's coming out nice.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

I finished up the Ironwood and Ebony bolster version. I'm pretty happy with it, although I got a slight misalignment on the top of the bolster joint. 3rd knife done and sold. :)

This is one of the blades I sent to HT without drilling the handle for pins. :|
I decided to give a Wa handle a shot. So this is my first attempt.

Center is Macassar ebony, followed by Manzanita liners, with desert ironwood scales.
bolster (is that the right term for the wa handle?) is manzanita.

I know most folks use synthetic liners. Is there any issue using wood liners?

sweet, I like it with those lines.
I use a self made kitchenknife here without a pin.
It has been in use e few years without any problems
