Hey everyone, so I am curious what you guys think I should get next. I can only buy a knife every 1-2 months so I like to get something nice each time. What I have:
Benchmade 556
Benchmade 300-1
ZT0350
ZT0900
Spyderco DF2 ZDP 189
What I'm considering:
Benchmade HK Mini Axis
Benchmade 531
ZT0450
ZT0800
Spyderco Waved Delica
Spyderco Manix 2/ Manix 2 LW

These are in no particular order. What out of these would you recommend? Any other recommendations? Thanks.

Since you have the heavier users side of the spectrum covered, what about a nice custom fixed blade or a slimmer/dressier knife for occasions?

If you are on a well controlled budget, may I make a polite suggestion. Save up about three or four months worth of your budget and set it aside for the rare opportunity you may have to pick up a "grail". Be it a discontinued model or a rare custom. When those come around, you'll regret not having funds immediately available to seize the opportunity. Some have had to wait years for another chance to find a grail. It might also prevent you having to liquify a portion of your collection, when times are tighter than you have anticipated.

After that, you're gonna want a ZT0562 or ZT0562CF. Knife lovers will be celebrating this one for years to come for being as close as any have come to a real "Hinderer" (if not subjectively, better) . I am also very impressed with the Benchmade Crooked River. It is very new and already has a very loyal following.

From your list:
+1 for the ZT0450 and definitely the ZT0450CF. CF is the code they use for their knives that use some sort of high strength, anti-gravity material, reverse engineered from alien technology, If I remember correctly.
-1 ZT0350 (mieh). Although (+-0) if you can find the CF version with M390 Steel, it might have collectible value down the road.
+1 ZT0909 (Instead of ZT0350) its just has an easier to maintain blade shape. All other specs are pretty comparable.
+1 ZT0808 and ZT0804. I personally don't care, at all, for the ZT0801 but what do I know, it might be awesome.

I am confused, do you have the knives listed or are you asking us to pick from this list?

Of the ones you listed, I'd pick either the Manix 2 or ZT 0450. I'm a big Manix fan so I always recommend people try it. Tough as nails, no nonsense workhorse of a knife. I recently picked up a 0450 myself and have been very impressed thus far. Lighting flipper, super slim, light weight, and premium materials.

I got a ZT 0562 a week or so ago and can't put it down. Fantastic knife, perfect size for EDC, ridiculously sharp out of the box. I got the G10 version and will be adding a CF one as soon as funds allow.

Saving for something special is also a great suggestion if you're comfortable spending that sort of money on a knife.

I suggest you buy a Spyderco Military or Paramilitary. If those do not crank your tractor, I also suggest a Cold Steel Code 4 in CTS XHP.

Are you using all of these knives? I recommend you get a knife based on actual need, then put it to good use.

You have some beauties to choose from jday!! I'll put some pics up of the ones you're looking at. I would have trouble choosing just one!!
Good luck!!
Joe

Figured I'd throw another into the mix also!! Last pic, second one down....ZT 562 CF....amazing!!!
