Im having trouble deciding on which large folder to add to my collection next. I already own an Endura, Military, Large Sebbie, Xm-18 (3.5), and a Protech Godfather. I was thinking of adding either a Benchmade 710, Al Mar SERE, or an Emerson. Of these which would you guys choose, or if you have another recommendation please feel free to let me know. Any of these will probably just be a collection piece, since i EDC my Sebbie almost exclusively, I just need my blade fix. Thanks.

If you don't have an axis lock, I'd try the 710. It's agood all around knife. If you have more to spend and don't mind hunting one down, try to find a cqc-12 from emerson.

I just got a ZT200 the other day.. BIG and super strong.. I wouldn't want the taller blade of the 300 series over the skinnier (tall wise) 200.

I'm also a big fan of Emerson knives.. The CQC12 is atop the hill of Emersons with the framelock.. the CQC11 is 4"+ and then there is the Super SOCFK and the Super CQC-8. The Super 8 may be the ticket for ya..

Of the 3 you mentioned, I would get the 710. But I would not buy the knife to be a safe queen. That is one of the best user knives, especially when you consider the price, on the market.

Outside of what you mentioned, I would take a look at the ZT 300 series.

I carry a cqc10 because of the wave. So I'm a big fan of emerson between a benchmade and emerson I'd go with emerson. I have an umnumzaan that I like better than a sebenza but I don't carry it because I'm afraid I'll lose it (I know I'm lame)

Forgot to mention.. check out the Kershaw Tyrade also.. it is a cross between a ZT and an Emerson. Big thick blade and liners like the ZT, but has G10 scales and thiner profile like the Emerson. It compares very well with my ZT200 but flatter in the pocket. It's probably the cheapest of every knife mentioned above also at around $80. There is also a full titanium version but the price jumps drastically.

I would also recommend the BM 710 if you are looking for a slim profile.

Of the 3 mentioned, a BM710.
Great build quality, and super-slick action with the Axis lock.

The SERE is a great knife too, but I don't like the feel of the handle.

Get an Emerson. I'd go with a Super CQC7. You have to have at least one waved knife.

Not impressed with Emerson anymore, have owned 3 and only own one now. A CQC7 (gift from my Dad). No experience w/the Sere 2000 but Al Mar impresses with there consistent quality. Own and like a 710D2 but there is an up-and-down bladeplay issue with mine. Seems to lock up solidly but and axis lock shouldn't move at all IMO.
