How about a 1/300 NMSHBM !!!!!! !!!!!!! NOT >.................... Thats all it takes to wreck a classic..... NMFBM works but I would not go overborad with this NM treatment.

One thing that really bothers me is the transition from rounded spine to flat where the handle is... It bothered me sooo much:barf::barf::barf::barf: I have to take a grinder to the spine of my blade and even out the transition...

I've wondered about that. It makes sense what you're saying, but do you have any pics?

I agree. Although I'm not real big on choppers (probably more about $ than actual use), the NMFBM has really tried to draw me away from my lust of the FSH. Especially with SS Nukarta or Black G10.:thumbup:

I'm not sure about what the rational opposition to the NM treatment could be except 1) it may add cost, so those who want cheaper INFI will dislike it and 2) it looks different, so not everyone will like it. But when it comes to ergonomics, the NM treatment is an improvement, especially at the choil. I can't see why anyone would have anything against improving ergonomics.

As far as encroaching into another model's territory with regard to specs is concerned, one has to be realistic. Busse has been making knives for a long while. There are many models ranging from small knives to swords. With new models (as is the case already with old models) there will inevitably be overlap, or "encroaching" into another model's territory due to close to similar specs. There are only so many possible blade lengths and thicknesses and widths, and the smaller the differences the less impact on performance they have. Would we have Jerry stop making knives at some point just so his new releases wouldn't encroach into the territory of older models? Ludicrous, I say!

I understand..... The FSH was one of the models I seemed to be addicted to for a while...... Great blade....

If you can get the scratch together I strongly recommend trying out the NMFBM ,... It will prob. make you fall in love with choppers....

Looks are one thing but using that beast is a pleasure all in its own... such power :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

i love the NM series, because you can't get all of those classics on the aftermarket.
for us new hogs and busse addicts it is a chance to get something from the past.

and new! because there is nothing like getting the package from busse with the SSSS and the cardboard sheath!

I'm conventional - NMFSH for me.

I'd like to see an only partial meltdown offering - leave the spine squared and round rest and the bottom to a wicked point where the rounded pommel would join to the spine.
