Please keep us posted. I'm still on the waiting list for an SnG, but the tool finish just doesn't do it for me. So, I think I'll wait for the black one. I think its going to look really evil.

BTW, the bodycoat AR that someone did recently turned out awesome. I'm sure you've probably already considered that option, but I think it came out really nice.

I haven't been keeping up with the forums lately...but now I see a version 2 SnG is coming out and many of you are posting the ###'s and pics. of your current SnGs up here...

my question is, WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR SNGs????

I thought I had gotton my name put on TAD's waiting list early (last October...I think)...but they haven't got to me yet on their list (At least I don't think so...)

***Josh: If my name has come up already, please let me know and put me down for a version 2 as well (I'll email you to reiterate this).

Is this the case? I don't think this is right...but I just want to make sure. I know that TAD's new AR's are set to come out (someday) with black blades & I just want to make sure I didn't miss something here. If the SnG #2's are coming with Black blades, is there any way to get one exactly as pictured above (plain stonewashed blade)? If they are as pictured...then I'll be a VERY happy man. :cool:

Chris, the Model 2 SnGs should look just like the knife in that picture, stonewashed blade and all. If you look VERY close, you'll notice that the G10 isn't black, it's (lightly textured, not the same texture as the G10 on an AR) dark green & black. It's hard to see. I didn't realize it till Matt pointed it out.

AFAIK, the Model 3 SnGs will be all black with AR textured G10. The Model 4 SnGs, who knows?

I know you like Chris Reeve knives. I loved my Sebenza till I rec'd my AR. For a hard core, non-tactical user, stonewashed blades are superb. This Model 2 could very well be the best of both (Chris Reeve/Strider) worlds. An ergonomic framelock with a better guarantee than a Chris Reeve knife. I can't wait!

Yep, I like CRK stuff - while I did sell my P-II, I'd buy another (or three) if they changd their whole 1-piece line to 3V)....I digress.

My main EDC is a Large 2001 N.A. Desert Ironwood Sebenza. At first, I thought it was too purdy for EDC...I thought it would get scratched & the wood would be damaged. NOT SO. Sealed ironwood is VERY tough stuff. I polish the Ti slabs once in a while & afterwards, it looks new.

I'd like to rotate the SnG with it once it arrives. They are both about the same size and the Sng will certainly be easier to carry in my daily 9-5 than my AR was. ;)
