This is half pound of the real stuff!

Finally, Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Chili) pods, imported from the Assam region of India.

The Ghost chili is also known by other names like Bih jolokia, Borbih jolokia, Naga jolokia, Nagahari, Naga Morich, Naga Moresh, Raja mirchi, and others.

You get our mega package of dried Jolokia pods, a generous 1/2 pound. The large bag holds dozens and dozens of dried peppers. If you want to rehydrate them for recipes, homemade hot sauce, or pickling, this bag will net you several pounds of hydrated peppers. These pods are grown and dried by farmers in the Assam region of India. To get the full heat level of the Jolokia pepper, they need to come from this region. We can grow the Jolokia in America, but they tend to be not quite as hot. We can grow Napa Valley grapes in Arizona, or Kona coffee beans in Honduras, but they aren't quite the same. Many pods you find on ebay grown in small home gardens can be diluted by pollens from lesser peppers. If you want the hottest, you need the GENUINE pepper, the Assam Region Bhut Jolokia!

This is the hottest pepper in the world as certified by the Guinness Book of World Records, February, 2007.

Compare the hottest peppers in the world:

Jalapeno 8000 - 10,000 scoville units

Habenero 100,000 - 300,000 scoville units

Red Savina 577,000 scoville units (old world record)

Bhut Jolokia 1,001,000 - 1,041,000 scoville units

Pepper Spray 15,000,000 scoville units

What does that mean to you? This is extremely hot stuff! Over 1/15 as hot as pure pepper spray! This means you need to be EXTREMELY careful when using.

It is not a joke pepper, you can really hurt someone if you try and play with it.

ONLY use it very sparingly to add extreme heat to your food.

This package of pods will last a very long time. Do not try and eat it straight! We highly recommend you wear gloves when handling these, and use extreme caution when adding to foods. If you breathe its powder, it will hurt!

We will not be held responsible for your misuse or if you burn yourself! You have been warned!

If your food is never hot enough, or if you can't find enough heat to season your food, this is for you!

If your food isn't right unless your eyeballs sweat, this is for you!

If your friends think you're crazy for eating some of the stuff you eat, this is for you!

If most of the condiments on your shelf contain the words "satan, evil, devil, dragon, or butt-burning", this is for you!

Oh!!!! Baby!!!!! I may get 1/2 pound of the dried ones, just for $hits and giggles.:eek: HEHEHEHEHEHE!!!

The state of Massachusetts has a certified hot freak in residence; I will watch for the fireball from my backporch.

Wear gloves, Fred

LF, you may have a fireball on your back porch. I'll sneak some in the HT'g relish that I am sending you. HEHEHEHEHE!!!

I happened across a radio program where a guy ate that pepper for the first time .He described flavor etc as he ate it. It was hilarious - as he ate it he had more and more difficulty speaking. At the end you could hardly understand him !!
Perhaps you could heat treat your blades after eating them , just breath on the blade like a fire breathing dragon !

IG your gonna end up like Homer Simpson when he ate the Guatemalan insanity peppers.:D:D

mete, If you can't heat treat with it, you sure will be able to remove forge scale with it.

It might be fun to make some really hot sauce. However, I think that your smoked heat treating relish has the perfect level of heat and delicious flavor for me.

Yeah Wa..Wa..Wally's relish is awesome, but, wouldn't it be nice to do a little experimenting? Like Emeril Lagasse says, "Kick it up a notch". Besides, it's wild to see the expresion on peoples' faces when they try it for the first time, cause most people are really not ready for that kind of heat

I got the seeds coming in.;) Once I get all my orders sent out, I'll be get a 1/2 lbs. of the dried Ghost Chilies to make up a small batch. Will be looking for some guinea pigs to try it.:eek:
BBBB Beaver you'll be the first. HEHEHEHEHEHE!!

The dried Ghost Chilies, I would use liquid smoke.;):D The hab's smoke does wonders with the arthritis in my thumbs.:D The only problem is the stinging skin, nose, eyes or any other orifice or extremity you may touch.HEHEHEHEHE!!!

I know what you mean. My grandson had to try some peppers once and he forgot to wash his hands before going to the bathroom. I was laughing so hard I almost fell out of my chair. It was so funny watching but I felt so sorry for him at the same time. He learned a valuable lession that night. :) He still talks about it. :)

I got the seeds in yesterday.;) The package contain a warning label, instructions on planting, plastic gloves and a dried Ghost Chili.
Well I tried a small piece of it and it is hot and has a different heat to it compared to the Hab's. The Hab's you get the full affect in seconds and the Ghost's sneaks up on you. HEHEHEHEHE!!!
