I know what you mean. My grandson had to try some peppers once and he forgot to wash his hands before going to the bathroom. I was laughing so hard I almost fell out of my chair. It was so funny watching but I felt so sorry for him at the same time. He learned a valuable lession that night. He still talks about it.

It probably kills the first bunch of nerves and taste buds then gets diluted enough so that you can actually feel it.
