Does the NFNO have some of the nuclear treatment like lightened handles or is there a way to know that? I know the nuclear option also had the long swedge on it which isn't there but the lightened handle part would be interesting to me.

I've never had a Busse with wood, how is the texture (smooth, grippy, etc) and do you know if it's stabilized (I assume it is)?

I can't answer the texture. But I'm betting it would be stabilized.I can guarantee you, though, if you bust the wood during use, that Busse would replace the scales. Might or might not be wood scales afterward. But take it from someone who has done some stoopid s*** with a Busse, and got it replaced entirely: Busse stands behind their products.

Smooth texture. Very high quality as expected from Busse. This is a very nice piece and you won’t be disappointed.
