Hello folks I'm curious as to if Busse made the NFSH I believe that's the one. At any rate did they make it with out the cuts in the blade as well. It's a sweet blade shape, bowie type and my fav just not too crazy about cuts in the blade, love the shape though.

I think you are referring to the Forsaken Steel Heart. In which case, no, it was not available without fullers.

Edit: I should clarify that the fullers I'm referring to here are the Corrugated Bevel Tech variety.

Yes. The basic model had CBT (corrugated bevel technology) and no blade fuller. The "Nuked" option included the CBT AND blade fuller.

You may want to post some pictures of the specific Steel Heart you're referring to. There were many variants of the Steel Heart (SH) over the last many years..

Bro! Good to see you back ;)

The Forsaken Steel Heart was made with CBT on all models, and the custom shop blades also had a fuller. I too love the bowie profile of the forsaken steel heart, but am also partial to a clean & simple FFG or saber grind. Less is more imho.

Yes that's what I'm talking about without the CBT plain blade.

The blade fuller's not too bad, but a clean blade I like most.

Thanks, yes this I know as I've had a few, I believe I located a pic Andy had of one of his online but couldn't get it to work for me.

How it going B, you still got all those Rats running around your house bro. You know we kind of think alike on this, a nice clean blade with that Awesome blade profile with a nice thick tip. The kind you could dig with if need be.

Cool :). Well, if you're looking for a SH that's very similar to the Forsaken SH (and NFSH), but with no fuller and no CBT!, you might like the Steel Heart Ergo 2 'Variant' from a few years ago. There were a few of them that showed up in Grab Bags, was not an official release. Here's few pics of it (not mine). I can post pics of mine together with the FSH later...

Dang! That's a good looking knife. I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for one of those.
Thanks for that awesome pic and info and your time.

I wonder if there's enough meat left under the cbt to do a full flat regrind on the basic NFSH without fuller... Anyone know if this has been done on a cbt blade?

Just to add.. there was an official release of the Steel Heart Ergo 2, but it was slightly different than the one pictured above - it was .25" thick and no clip point. Here's a picture of the original:

The 'Variant' of the SHE2 came in grab bags...

That's pretty nice as well, I like the way it carries the thickness all the way out into the tip. That tip looks to be stout compared to others. Thanks for the pics.
