Hello All,

I have recently decided on getting the MOD RazorBack, but now im having a hard time deciding where to buy it.

NGK.com - i have heard nothing but praise for this site, this site is def. getting bookmarked. so it seems NGK.com is a great store to buy from but, i would just like to keep my options open.

onestopknifeshop.com - i have heard from two people that this shop was great, but can anyone else give me some more feedback on this site?

grandprairieknives.com - i have heard from one person that this store is good, can someone also give me some feedback on this site?

the reason why i am not ordering right away is a long story, but to make things short. blackhawk recently bought out the MOD name. the knives that have been manufactured by blackhawk under the MOD name are utter stercus. so i am searching for the pre-blackhawk MOD manufactured knives. now, someone on these forums has told me that the biggest way to tell the difference between the two is 1. the name 'BlackHawk' is NOT written anywhere on the box/paperwork and 2. the logo on the pre-blackhawk MOD Razorback is bigger and is a sort of goldish color. and the logo on the blackhawk stercus one is smaller and white. so far, i have sent NGK.com an email to confirm for me that the model they have is a pre-blackhawk one, and after 2 days of waiting..no email. however the pictures on 1sks.com and gpknives.com show the bigger/goldish logos. its more promising on 1sks.com, heres what i mean:

NGK - http://www.newgraham.com/detail.aspx?ID=4248

1SKS - http://www.1sks.com/store/masters-of-defense-massad-ayoob-razorback.html

GPknives - http://www.gpknives.com/item/masters-of-defense-ayoob-razorback.html

is it safe to trust the pictures on the sites? would it be possible that the pre-blackhawk ones are out of stock, and perhaps the site didnt change the info on the page but just have the blackhawk stercus knives in stock?

thanks

Totototo, you have an email, but to answer you best I can...we have the Razorback in stock. Box is marked MOD only...no mention of Blackhawk. That said, you are correct that BHB bought MOD, but I am not aware they changed their MOD manufacturing from NC. If they have, it is likely what we have in stock in new manufacture.

1sks.com is owned by the same person who runs BladeForums. Send Spark an email about it, he'll let you know for sure if he has the knife you want.

Thanks for the email Mike, i sent a reply with some quick questions.

@ kiahs - o rly? interesting, i think ill drop him an email today. thanks

All three are great dealers, I have bought from all of them. Order in confidence from any of them. All have a phone number, call them up and ask them.

I have dealt with all three of these, when I lived in the states.
You can give all of them a call, and they will confirm anything you want.
You can trust their word without hesitation.
