I received a Kanetsune (Matagi Hunter 9-1/2" Overall Cherrywood Handle w/ Blue Steel) in a trade. I have a Matagi in bleu steel already and this one was supposed to be 17 layer damascus . When it arrived it was not damascus. Blue steel is Hitachi's high carbon steel at 62-HRC . This is a handmade japanese hunting knife with a 5in blade, a cherry handle, and a cherry sheath. I don't have a pic yet but I will monday. This is a pic from an online dealer that shows the same knife. http://www.knifecenter.com/knifecenter/kanetsune/images/3.jpg
I have several Kanetsune knives and I can say that since they are hand made, no two are exactly alike. The knife I have is almost identical to the one in this pic. It is still in original manufacturer's wrapping inside the box.
I'm looking for any Bark River, some Fallknivens may be considered, or any bushcraft style or high end scandi knives. This knife is new in box but I'm going to be using whatever I get in trade so don't worry if it has some "character" theres no harm in making an offer.
