I put in a couple of images of the reflection of the text on the box, as viewed in the polished blade, so you have an idea of the "Mirror Polish." Photos cannot do the mirror finish justice. This Custom Whaleshark has a Marfione hand ground blade with a high polished grind, satin and bead blasted groove. The handle is 30k layer carbon fiber with bead blasted hardware and pocket clip. The Whale Shark Flipper from Microtech is an impressive knife that boasts great style, solid performance and innovative design! Microtech's intent on designing a knife with solid G-10 composite handles, was to move away from "old school" handle materials like aluminum. The handle features super lightweight 3D contoured carbon fiber slabs, but does not compromise strength or durability. The Whale Shark uses the unique titanium sub-lock tab resulting in a solid lockup. The contoured back spacer and tip-up carry pocket clip feature titanium as well. The S35VN steel blade is deployed via the flipper on the spine of the knife and the action is superb, thanks to the ceramic bearing system.
