regular model fully serrated for 70 dollars. Is that a steal of a deal or just meh?
Define "regular model". Are you talking SS, black FRN, or black Micarta? FWIW, unless the rules have changed lately, RU's like you and me can't ask "what's my knife worth" here. You might get straighter answers to questions like than about older Spydercos on their home forum.
black frn. Not asking whats my knife worth. I'm trying to get a bargain with the help and knowledge from people who really know their stuff
That is a very very nice, and light knife. I have 2 Calypso Jrs, one with black FRN and the other with Micarta scales. I love these knives way more than the Calypso or Caly 3. To me it looks like a Dragonfly on steroids. I highly recommend you grab it while its available
I've had good results looking for disco'd models by searching the product code using something like google.
It sounds like you are looking for "c52sbk." Searching for this might help you answer your question.
Great knife - if it is truly new-old-stock and NIB, then $70 is a good deal.
You'll love this knife - pick it up!
Sweet. Ended up getting it for 67 bucks! Can't wait!
We went back and fourth a little. It was a best offer thing.
pic pic pic!
Took 2 seconds to google c52sbk and found some NIB for $39.95 with free shipping. Sorry OP
Yeah, I took my own advice and ordered one
Can't vouch for the dealer though, hopefully they come through with it.
If I'm Googling the same dealer, you might have been better off searching GBU here before pulling the trigger.
I am aware of the risk, but decided to go for it anyway. Tracking indicates it should arrive by Monday. Will post pics of whatever shows up, lol.
Well, I'm stoked! I was hoping it would arrive today, but didn't want to jinx it earlier.
No real impressions since I've only handled it for a few minutes, but very glad I was able to pick one of these up
A little meh about the serrations, but I will give them a shot.
Sorry to derail the tread OP, but also thanks because I never would have looked for it otherwise. Hope you enjoy yours as well!
I don't know how to put the pic here. mine came today. Did you make an offer or BIN? its an awesome knife and how cool to get NIB from 13 years ago
Wasn't the deal of a lifetime but it was a good investment. Don't know if I'll carry this one especially at work. Third new spydie this month.
I saw that too but it doesn't say NIB and the one pictured looked like it had some crud/staining on the blade.
Mine is BNIB. It is cool to find new old stock like this. The little plastic bag it came in had yellowed a bit from age, but nothing is wrong at all with the knife.
mine was also. I was talking about the 38 dollar one someone was talking about.
