Knife is new. Everything about it is perfect, except for when the angle of the light hits it just right, it's like there is a little 'film' of something over the last 3/8ths of an inch of the blade. It is not discoloration. I tried a couple dozen pics, and I just couldn't capture it. Don't know if it will come off or not. As it's factory new, I thought I'd best not really mess with it. It didn't come off with a simple polishing cloth. Hmm. You may actually sort of see it in the 3rd pic.
