Has anyone here ever done any business with nic-nac knives. They sometimes have knives that I did not think were available anymore. They are not easy to get in touch with so I am pretty leery of sending a couple hundred bucks there. I was just checking with you guys. There is another one called Jays knives(I believe)-seems to be like nic-nac. Any info would be appreciated.

I have dealt with them, I will try and remember and look at my records because I do recall they were either the good vendor or mediocre vendor I dealt with last year and I would not want to be incorrect.

They are legit though regardless.

Nick from nic-nac has user name horizonod here on bladeforums. I haven't seen posts from him recently. I have purchased from nic-nac as recently as 2 years ago. I have had an instance where I purchased an item and was notified it was out of stock a day later (card was never charged) but that was more than 5 years ago.

ive used them a few times over the years. legit dealer. only bad things about them are sometimes inventory isnt accurate but not horribly inaccurate. their website is hard to use on my phone. very hard to use compared to other websites. that is my biggest complaint about them. they are a real dealer though and ship products in a timely manner. i will use them if they have it in stock.

I've purchased from nicnac within the past 6 months or so. It was a simple, straightforward transaction - nothing more, and nothing less - I found what I wanted on the site, completed the purchase online, and received the knife in a timely manner. I wouldn't have any qualms about making another purchase.

I've ordered from them a few times. All good experiences. Here's one in particular-

I ordered a knife listed as "in stock". A few days later I received an email saying that knife was in fact out of stock. I was offered a more expensive version of the same knife as a replacement at no extra cost. I accepted the offer without hesitation (the entire model line is long discontinued, and the knives are hard/impossible to find).

Although it sucked that a knife was listed as "in stock" when it wasn't, I was very happy with how the company handled their mistake. The knife I ordered was just going to be a "parts knife" for another project, but the replacement knife was so nice I kept it as is and it's a prize of my switchblade collection.

He has been around forever on multiple auto forums. He is a good guy. I would buy from him again without hesitation.

Apologies for reviving this old thread, but has anyone been in touch with nicnac recently? I placed an order last week and haven't heard from them. Holidays and all, not all that worried. But thought I'd ask. Thanks

Eric

That does sound odd. And concerning. I have never heard of any order issues with him. Something could have happened. Did they process your payment? If it was my order I would give them until 01-02-2024. If they did not respond by then I would contact my card company, or bank, to cancel the order.
