Does anyone know how many of these were made? Also what blade steel is used on these?

Thanks

Around 200 comes to mind for some reason, could be 500.

Blade steel was BG-42.

The NICA Tanto? That was my first Sebenza, and a great knife. I'm pretty sure there were 400 made.

I'll go with have been pretty sure that I read at one time that 400 was the intended production run and that BG-42 is the steel. But I would also add that I don't think that all 400 were made at one time. I think that they were to be done over a couple of years.
You would probably get your answer (maybe from CRK) if you post the question on the Chris Reeve Forum here - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=703

Thanks guys, im pretty sure its 400. Mine says 400, but wasn't sure if it was the serial # or what.
Thanks

400 large, 400 small, the ones I have are BG-42, newer ones will be CPM-S30V, check with your dealer to see what steel is used on the ones he has in stock.
