I've been looking for one without much luck. There's one I'm watching on Ebay, but I'm not excited about it's appearance. Scott, yours looks absolutely pristine. Way to go! :thumbup:

Scott - I'm new to the older Bucks; is that really an unsharpened blade???

If so, could you do another pic of it??? The pic in my browser looks "shortened" for some reason...

I've been trying to get an idea of what an as-new older blade looks like; I still have no idea...They all look ground-down to my eyes...

Thanks anyway! I'm trying to get a feel for what Buck blades looked like when new...so I can tell how much they've been ground/sharpened...

That one is much better! (Are you using the "macro" setting???)

Some of mine that I thought had been terribly ground down may not have been...just poorly sharpened...

I guess I'll have to learn how to sharpen these things...

When I do sharpen, I use a Lansky or old Carborundum oil stones or wet stones.

I noticed that too. The blade looks short, but I'm sure it's just the angle at which the pic was taken.
