Nice 3-Dot 112 (Which I did not get)

The cheapest knife buyers are NOT collectors but resellers. Ask a collector what they'll pay for your knife and then ask a reseller, the collector will always pay more :)

Most of the collectors I know sell a lot of knives. They constantly sell examples of lesser quality that they have replaced with better quality.

Hello, I have a Buck 112, 3 dots (1980) no nail nick.
No pouch, paper work or box and there are many deep marks on both end, sides, of the brass where it was used as a hammer!
I am wondering about the possibility of getting it refurbished.
Cheers Griff

You must be a gold member or above to ask about knife values. You might check the big bay site for answers to that particular question. Feel free to post pics of it as well, I’m sure we would all like to see it. Welcome to the forums

Thank you sorry I did not mean to ask it's value out of place. I've altered the post so I am no longer asking that question. Thanks for letting me know! I think if I lived in America it would be simple to post it to the factory for some TLC. Cheers Griff99

No worries at all. You will find this place to be an encyclopedia of knife knowledge, and a lot of very nice people. Enjoy your time here

The 3 dots were the last of the 440C blades. At that time Buck began to give the blade more hollow grind and less convex edge. Another item
they changed was they radiused the edges of the frame. If the handles edges feel more contoured, it's been radiused. If they feel more square
they haven't. Buck will do a nice face lift job on those older, damaged knives. Just send it in to them with 6$ to cover their cost and a letter telling them what you want done and they will work it and return it like new. Send to: BKI

You'll be glad you did.Order a sheath while your at it. Welcome, DM

Many thanks, very useful info. This knife was a gift and initially I was not keen on it but the more I've studied and handled it the more I really appreciate and like it.
There is quality there for sure. :)
