I was unfamiliar with Bubinga until recently. It is a very hard, heavy wood that is great for knife handles. The photos don't make this wood look very exciting but once you take it into the sunlight it takes on a metallic looking reflective flash.
This is old stock wood that is dry and ready to use. It is very durable and does not require stabilizing. When I asked K&G about stabilizing they said "We could, but why?"

If you would like your blocks cut into scales I can do that at no charge. There will normally be about 1/8" loss of material from each cut and sanding. Let me know if you want the scales to be 3/8" thick or whatever thickness you need.
