Nice video- "Birth of an Axe"

Cool video, but the music is kinda weird....listen at 1:15...strange indeed for a blacksmith vid

Nice video, although he glosses over (through editing) some parts I would have liked to have watched.. namely the metal wedge he hammered into the wooden wedge to hold the axe head on (didn't get a good look at it). Also the wheel he put green compound on, can't tell if it was leather or fine stone (I assume leather but who knows).

Curiously he uses a charcoal forge with old school bellows in the video but offers stainless Elmax knives as an option, so he must have some high tech gear in the back room or outsources the heat treating on his stainless stuff. Although it looks like a forge finish on those too, though could be just mill scale?
Don't know much about Elmax admittedly.. I've only just done my first stainless knife on the weekend.

THanks for the video, he has a few others too.

Am I the only one that thinks splitting his kindling on the cut-off hardy was pretty cool? :) great video, btw.
