About that Brasso : can it be harmful to the finish of the wood if it comes into contact with it? I've been hesitant to try it for that reason. The brass on my Ranger could sure use some cleaning up.Jeff

Brasso won't hurt the wood.

I've never noticed Brasso harming the wood on any of mine, in fact I've had some older ones that it seemed to clean it up and make the wood look better.
