Nice watch

@glockman99

I certainly took that into consideration, but when it came down to it I wanted a watch with a nice looking metal band, and for some reason I liked the look of the monster better than any of the Citizens I've come across. Having the day as well as the date was also a plus. I suspect my next watch is pretty likely to be a Citizen or similar.

@jlfletcher83

That Oakley is some watch. I'm not sure I've seen one quite like that before. Hope your arm is on the mend as well.

@foilist

I definitely like the look of the band on that calibre.

@allenC

Nice watch... I like the texture on the outside of the bezel.

Another vote for the Seiko. You can also buy an aftermarket metal band. I wore mine through combat in Iraq, still keeps good time.

Now I wear a Tag Heuer auto Aquarcaer.

The Citizen eco-drive is on my list too. Particularly the "Japan Only" model nicknamed 'Tough'. I am very happy with my nite MX50 and Reactor Watch Co. Photon Carbon face.I own a couple of pricey Swiss watches but really prefer these two made in China watches.
See them and my others at http://www.gearninja.com

Well, no going back now:)
Does that mean you already ordered it? :thumbup:
I'm not a watch nut like some of these guys, and don't have any of the high-dollar stuff, but I do like watches. Haven't even looked at another watch since getting a Black Monster, though. It's one of the very few items that I own that if it were lost, I would automatically buy another without shopping for something new.
Had thought that I'd put a Zulu strap on there, but have always loved the stainless band, and it stayed.
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

I decided to get a nice watch about 4 months ago. I ended up with a 42mm Hamilton khaki field automatic w/the metal band. It is dressy enough for the office and very solid. I also like the fact that it comes with a domed sapphire crystal, which is less common for watches in its price range. I've snorkeled with it many times and it held up just fine. That being said, I've been lusting after an orange monster as well...

Nice watch... I like the texture on the outside of the bezel.
Yep, the those ridges are very easy to grip, even when wet, so turning the bezel is super easy.
And the bezel has a very nice ratcheting action too....very smooth, the best I've found on any watch.
And it's a 120 click bezel so it's very precise (for a diver's bezel).

It originally had a rubber strap, but I think I like the zulu strap better.
It doesn't sweat my wrsit as much as the rubber did.

I have a citizen eco drive Skyhawk watch. I have had it for almost 5 years now. I like the fact you don't need to replace the battery in it. I have a casio divers watch also that always stopped running because of the battery dying when you needed it the most. Look into the casio g-shock solar watches. I have heard good reports on them.

I prefer automatics (self winders) because they offer a more accurate representation of time. The flow of time does not start... stop... start... stop, it is constant, just like the second hand on my Tag Heuer.

Hello, I have a question about the Seiko SKX007's. What is the difference between the SKX007j and the SKX007k. Thanks

The J model is made in Japan, K model isn't...(I think they are made in Korea.).

I was in the market for a new watch as my 25 year old Seilko Divers day/date automatic is giving up the ghost. I looked for another Seiko divers watch but I couldn't decide if I wanted another automatic or battery/solar powered. I ended up buying a Seiko SKA371 Kinetic divers watch. No need to change batteries and it is basically an automatic. Looking forward in getting it next week after it is delivered.
