Up for sale is a beautiful bowie made by Nick Wheeler. I bought this knife directly from Nick. It is unused mint condition and just as I received it from Nick. The balance on this knife is 5incredible for a knife of this size. I had Paul Long make a sheath for it with ostrich leg inlay. Price is SOLD which includes shipping in the US. Not looking for any trades at this time.

Below is Nick's description of the knife and the link to the original sale thread which has great pics and a video of the knife.

The blade was forged down from 1-3/4" 52100 round stock that I purchased from Ms Ray Kirk. It was fully hardened in my salt bath, and tempered back to 60 Rockwell. It has a "differential" hand-rubbed satin finish- the main bevels and flats were taken to 800X, the sharpened clip bevels were taken to 1200X, and the spine&choil were rounded and mirror polished.

Guard is 416 ss with 800X finish on face & sides, mirror polished on the inside of the lugs.

Spacers are black G10 and 416 ss, the domed/polished pin is also 416 ss.

Handle is professionally stabilized, spalted Sycamore.

OAL- 16-3/8"
Blade- ~11-1/4" L (just under) x 2-1/16" W x 0.280" thick at the guard
