Nick Wheeler's Bowies and Fighters are legendary for their attention to detail, meticulous craftsmanship, how good they feel when you hold them. and how light and quick they are in the hand.
This one is no exception.
I purchased this knife directly from Nick in 2013.
It is in perfect condition and has never been carried or used to cut anything. It will come with a Bill's Case, but has no sheath.
Specifications:
Blade: Clip blade of Nick Wheeler Damascus ~300 layers of 1084 and 15N20
Handle: Premium Stabilized Burled Amboyna with Domed 416 SS Pin
Guard: 416 SS with 800X satin finish on the perimeter and mirror polish inside the lugs
Copper and Black G10 spacers
OAL: ≈ 15
BL: ≈ 9-5/16"
Width: ~1-5/8" at the widest point
Thickness: 0.250" thick at the guard. Thinly flat ground, and the clip is ground down to zero
It is hard to let this one go, but I think I am going to focus my collection now into two specific areas and only keep a smaller number of knives that are not in those areas. So most of my Bowies Fighters are probably going to go.
