Nick Wheeler, JS ~ Ironwood Burl Bowie

Boy the lighting on this piece really shows attention to detail, both yours and Nick's.

Hi!

Great photo and knife! Imho Nick is the master of clean and flawlessly executed, and it shows once again.

Best,
Alex

Caleb,

Terrific image, it really turned out fantastic, thank you so much !

This is one(mine:)) of the Joe Paranee / Nick Wheeler Fighting Bowies that Nick did for us.
Everything you've heard about Nick's knives is understated in my opinion.
So clean and so well fit and finish polished, immaculate isn't too strong of a word to use.

Paul's sheath and his work on it equals the knife. Thank you for another masterpiece, Paul.

Joe, I always owe you. :)

Doug

I never get tired of seeing these Bowies from Nick. Maybe a little depressed sometimes because I don't have one, but worth it to be able to ogle again such fine craftmanship and flowing, functional lines. The image is as clean as the knife and sheath. Great work all around.

Outstanding!

There is a cleanliness-of-line to that knife that speaks quietly, but distinctly of true craftsmanship. Your images capture that beautifully.

Very cool knife and great photo!
Been a while since we have seen anything from Nick.

^^ Hey Mark, I saw that thread you started in "Around the grinder" but I can't post in that area since I'm not a paying member. I've also been wondering where he's been for a long time now as was litterally about to start a thread about it myself lol. I saw some comments in your thread saying he posts on IG a lot, but since I don't have a smart phone (only a laptop) I can't use IG. I checked his FB page because usually people have their FB account linked to their IG so they can be "followed" on FB directly, but there were no recent posts :thumbdn:

I mainly have wondered why almost ALL of his pictures have 'apparently' been deleted from his image hosting account, with the exception to his "Stuck in the Metal with You WIP" (Thank goodness!!) pictures as well as only his very latest posts of his finished Joe P fighters. I hate when that happens to a maker whose knives I LOVE looking at, when I'm not able to view or reference any past pictures from any of his old threads or any posts in general. I noticed this when I tried searching for an older knife of his by searching his "started threads" from his profile, only to find out that if it was posted pre- 2015, it's probably gone ... :(

Anyway, sorry to get a bit off topic. It's so awesome to finally see one of Nick's beauties photographed by you, Caleb! Excellent job as always, and I really hope there will be more in the near future from both of you! :)

Thanks for sharing!

~Paul

If anyone who is actually able to get in touch with Nick could ask him to drop me a line, I'd be most grateful.
