As far as the rest of this goes, I've been doing what I have to, to survive. That means a lot of time working and almost no time in the shop. The little bit of time I have had in the shop has been spent on things as they came into my order book. I have never had a knife to sell on instagram. It's just a quick and easy way to keep a small bit of my stuff out there.

Tommy Who?;)

Try being a full time tattoo artist at a street shop in a major city....you add the additional excitement of junkies shooting up in the bathroom, and the distinct possibility of gunfights. No health care, no paid vacation and significant investment in equipment. I did it for 10 years.

The upside is that those who chose to get tattooed by me don't have to worry about trying to recoup a profit if they try to sell.:D

You choose your avocation and move forward. Some weather the rough spots and succeed, some don't.

It's called work for a reason, otherwise, it would be called play.

Really? What exactly is BS?

BS is defined as:

1. usually vulgar : to talk foolishly, boastfully, or idly

2. usually vulgar : to engage in a discursive discussion

transitive verb
usually vulgar : to talk nonsense to especially with the intention of deceiving or misleading

Did that occur in this situation?

your categorical definition of bullshit is far too narrow, imo.
I was sure that you, of all people, would have a much more nuanced understanding of the phrase. Actually, if you don't, that almost makes more sense.
