Post Script: Danbo, thanks a bunch for the knife information. She's a beauty... Afzelia is one of my new favorite woods, and that handle slab is pretty interesting with grain orientation as it is.

As the original owner of that knife, I'd like to add that the blade steel is W1. Nick had a small piece of super high carbon Nicholson Black Diamond W1 and forged that blade out for me. Another one I wish I had back; but, it is what it is. The handle is stabilized Afzalia Burl.
