howdy _____
hay remember you said that buck closed out the nickel silver option on the custom shop page
and that some one else said they most likely wont be offering
nickel silver on the 110 ever again ...
well this is not an offical reliease and most surly
you did not hear this from me as i promised not to tell ...

but

sources located in side bucks ware house
have said that they saw a shipment of 110
nickel silver frames come in the other day!
he did not know what they will be used for
orders in the custom shop or as a LE issue

but that they did have them in
and it seemed that there are over 300 marked on the box

so like i said dont tell any one as then you can watch and
see if they offer it on the web site and get your order in ahead
of all the other guys that want nickel silver 110's !
and please dont tell any one that i told you !!!
as i am not supposed to know ...
and there is a verrrrry slim chance they may not use them any time soon

Nickel bolsters have been shown as available from the Custom Shoppe on the website for days, Dave.

IIRC, someone from Buck commented on this a few? days ago, and said they were back in use again.
 
I ordered my 110 S30V, nickel silver bolsters and indigo royal wood two days ago. Seems like the order went through fine. Just can't wait to get it.

LOL Well, I'm waiting for the holiday season to pass because I don't need it by Christmas and it will be a good dead-of-winter arrival. I'm sure you guys are busy enough for now.

Maybe Buck wanted to encourage us to stop making virtual 110's and actually buy one:). I missed looking at "my" 110 with a polished blade, nickle bolsters, and elk horn scales for those few days.

Wow! That looks even better than I expected based on the virtual custom shop image. That's exactly what I ordered, rivets and all. Thanks for the pics. Those are great.

Did that one come from the Custom Shop? I ask because of the 2008 date stamp on it. None of the CS 110's I have ordered or bought has a date stamp. They all have Buck-anvil-custom-usa on the tang.

Nope, no mirror polished blades yet, but I have been contemplating one (even though I told myself "you have enough 110's, young man").

I have owned Custom Shop 110's in the past that did not have a tang date stamp and were as yours are.
And the certificate was different as well.
Buck must have changed things around 2008.
Or maybe it's just the S30V blades???

Wow, I learn something new every day. My first one was one I ordered with Sambar stag, NS bolsters and the mirror polished blade. It is the custom stamp. I ordered and received it in 2009. The latest is one with an S30V blade from this year and it also has the custom stamp. As far as the rest of them go, I really don't know when they were made but all have the same stamp, all S30V, no date mark. Maybe PFI is right, a 2008 thing.

Ooops, I just noticed that the one PFI shows is stamped with the 2007 date stamp.

Dang I went and bought three nickel silver 110 frames, just to make sure that I would have some more of them. Oh well I have plans for them some day. HL
