Nickel silver pin gap

I have an "experimental" knife going. I do these when I want to push my envelope of comfort outward. in this particular case it is new handle techniques. I did get a surprise when I grinded the bolster down a bit more than I originally wanted and now have a slight gap in one of the pin holes.

I was pleased as punch to see this since these are the things that help me get better. I don't want to peen it again and grind lower so my options are to mill it down and fit pieces of abalone or try engraving the bolster and incorporate the gap into a blackened BG.

One other thing I thought about and have no clue if it would work is gathering the nickel silver dust from drilling or grinding, filling the gap as possible (heaped) and using a torch lightly to try and hit a sweet spot for melting the dust. I would have a heat sink near the gap.

Thoughts on the last idea? I have no clue if this is possible.

Thanks!

That won't work. Why not just drive the pin out and install another one?

+1 What Bill said.

Remember drill bits do not always make round holes. You might want to ream the hole to size then install the pin to insure it is perfect.

Thanks everyone!
Now it seems so obvious that I would be embarrassed if I were younger. My excuse is that I was seduced by the clever repairs performed by Turnage on their fossil DVD :)
I'll put new pins in as advised.
