Nickel Silver vs. 416ss

Thanks for the tip Jerry. I keep plenty of WD-40 around because it has so many uses. I'll give it a try as a cutting fluid.
 
Bruce E...try 410 s.s. for sheaths:D it works as easy as ns and dont have that yellowish cast ns does. you can get 410 in .040 and .050 from sheffield.

I dont have any problems working NS, I just dont like the fact that when its polished, there is no apreciable visual difference from SS then NS immediatly scratches and tarnishes.
 
I dont see how you guys are scratching your knives all the time. Try to take better care of your nice stuff.
