Since there has been very positive feedback on the Nielsen interchangeable disk system, I thought I would put together a group buy.
I have spoken with Wayne Coe about this and these are the details.

http://www.nielsendesigndiscgrinder.com/Welcome.html

The deal is as follows:

If there is a purchase of a minimum of 10 hubs with two disks per each hub we will be able to include an extra thin disk at no charge, plus shipping and insurance. Please go to the site to read up on the various plates.

For each motor, VFD, wiring kit, Wayne will include a free VFD mounting bracket with a minimum of 5 units. Wayne offers free shipping CONUS on the motors and VFDs. So the shipping and insurance is the same CONUS if you get a motor and disc or just the Interchangeable Disk System. Everything can be shipped outside the continental US but there might be initial increased cost.

Payment would be made to Wayne and shipment will be from Wayne to you directly. If you are interested, please post your name here I that there is a running list.

If you need pricing, please email me and I will respond with pricing for everything. Thanks

I'll leave this up, as it is of interest to many. Please keep the pricing and orders by PM/email.

I may be interested in the motor, vfd, wiring kit as well as the interchangeable system.

Anyone know if his machine is reversible? Can I do my bevels on this easily?

They've been selling a similar setup in the lapidary industry for for quite a few years, very handy and well proven. I think I put one together about 10 years ago. This looks nicely executed. I'm going to send an email for pricing, this stuff is out of the capacity range of my lathe.

Yes, you can get the whole package or only what you want. It can come as a variable speed reversible. The basic some go for is the magnetic hub to fit on your motor of choice with a couple or more discs, one being a thicker one and has a 1 degree of taper on it. You can change from one disc to another as fast as you can reach and pull, reach for the next and place it on the hub. You can't really put them on wrong since the center of the hub fits a space in the center of the discs.Frank

I have responded to all emails regarding pricing that I have received. If you requested pricing and have not received it, please email me again. Thanks

Since people are contacting me via email or PM only and not posting here, I thought I would keep people informed of the potential interest. I have provided pricing to 7 people with 2 specifically expressing interest in the motor/vfd/disc option.

If you are thinking that you might be part of the group buy, please post something stating this so others can gauge overall interest. This might help us to get to the needed 10 threshold for the discs to get the discounted pricing. Thanks

I am, just trying to scrounge up money. Anyone want to buy 4 knives?
