Nife for Maine Primitive skills School

That's a nice knife I could see a lot of pilots wanting a knife like that. Most have the USAF survival knife and it is not nearly as nice or looks as use full as your knife does. Trust me most of them have the money and are willing to spend the money to get a knife like that. Maybe you should give a few out as gifts to a few pilots!? Word would get around and people would ask where they got them!
 
Dan, Its a nice knife for sure. What is the center hole for? maybe you explained it already, I havent read everything on the thread as usual. I say use it for a "bow and drill" pivot hole for fire starting. Oh and more saw teeth. There is unused spine towards the tip.
 
yes test are now done and were done by the schools staff

Bruce yes that is what the center hole is for.. I too was going to put more teeth in but they wanted a place to pound on it to split wood and I had to get back far enough to keep the sweet spot balanced..

blackgrub0331 that's a good idea, maybe once I get the productions going I'll do that..
Robert ( mete) I made this one to cut by pulling,, I just can see in my mind it fetching and cutting the hand all to he!! pushing it :eek: :( ouch ..

we've made a few minor changes to that one, for the better , a thumb ramp,
lashing holes to use as a spear lashing it to a pole. scales will detach,
and cut-outs in the tang and scales inside for a small storage compartment..hooks F/line ecct..

I think I lost my water jet outfit,, no return calls from them?? there's always something screwing up..:o
