Honestly you guys, if you do not want to be a part of the group there is no need to post here. Also I do not think BF has a "waist" maybe you meant waste. No one is trying twist anyone's arm to join.
 
I just honestly want to know what its intended purpose is. I'm not going to sign up for something unless I know what it's about. :o

If you can't answer that for me then I promise this is my last post in the thread. :)

So essentially, instead of just joining one of the MANY existing groups which have reasons for existing (i.e. brand specific enthusiasts), you just created a group about nothing in particular? This whole forum is for "Knife Nuts" but the brand specific groups (and other groups) focus on a particular company, type of knife/knives etc. Of course, you can do whatever you please but I must agree that this one seems somewhat pointless when all the members will really do is post in general like we always have.

So judging by that post, this "group" is for people who aren't in another group- so everyone else on BFC. By being here, members are already part of the one big group we call Bladeforums. All you're really doing is re-labeling "general knife discussion"- there really is no group structure going on. I'm not trying to be mean spirited, just trying to let you know that this really isn't a group...
Plus, you say the group is for the "normal knife guys" yet the only knife-related stipulation to joining is that you can't only own inexpensive knives. As far as I know, yours is the only group that states that "these knives don't count"...not very fair if you're trying to get the group to appeal to the normal collector or maybe someone who is just starting.

It's basically giving people a little number, like the Beckerheads. Except it seems to be NearlyEverythingHeads.

Let's drop it. I talked to Esav Benyamin and he took care of the issue, so let's not stoke the fire. Also, I will be more than happy to add you and give you number 42 as soon as the pics are posted.
