Hi Gentlemen,
I've got a couple of great hunters up for sale today. They are enough different I'm calling them the Night and Day Hunters.
The Night Hunter:
This one is made with 26C3 steel which is new to us via @Alpha Knife Supply. It's Swedish high carbon steel developed for razor blades. It's similar to Hitachi Blue/White. It creates great hamon and can attain high RC hardness. The handle is awesome ancient stabilized Bog Oak that has black, brown and silver coloring. The guard is stainless steel.
SPECS:
OAL: 10.75"
BLADE: 4.75" long, 1.375" wide. Full flat grind down to 0.012", hand sanded to 1200 grit, Ferric Chloride etched to bring out hamon. The spine has been slightly rounded.
STEEL: 0.125" 26C3 steel heat treated to RC63
HANDLE: Stabilized ancient Bog Oak, 416 stainless guard and pin. Aluminum and black G10 spacers.
SHEATH: Handmade pouch style leather.

The Day Hunter:
This one is 3V steel that I Ferric Chloride etched and tumbled for an awesome stone wash finish. It was heat treated to RC61 using a low temp tempering protocol. The handle is very cool vintage micarta I recently obtained from @Milan Mozolic from the 1970's - 1980's. This one also has a stainless guard.

BLADE: 4.5" long, 1.5" wide. Full flat grind down to 0.012", hand sanded to 800 grit, Ferric Chloride etched and tumbled for a stone wash finish. The spine has been slightly rounded.
STEEL: 0.125" 3V steel heat treated to RC61
HANDLE: Vintage micarta, 416 stainless guard and pin. Black and natural micarta spacers.
SHEATH: Handmade pouch style leather.
