I bought this for a M4 clone, mounted lightly in rings and walked it around the house, yard and field. I determined the reticle was too fine for this application BUT would be perfect for a bolt action carbine!! I put a low power variable lit reticle on the M4 and shopped for a .308 carbine. That turned into a Bergara HMR.... OK not enough magnification. So it has set in the safe for nearly a year. It was never sighted in or on a gun that was fired. There is one tiny bright spec on the tube, not a scratch and I am not sure what it is but wanted to be fair and mention it.
