Just got the jim cub 2 147bk and I love it, however, I did notice that the sheath makes a mark on the blade every time I pull the knife out. It's because of 2 nubs at the top of the sheath.

Anyone else see this as an issue? Will this slowly ruin the coating on the blade? I figure I could file these down a little but figured I'd ask here first.

Thanks.

I have the full size Nimravus. I truly love that knife. It has literally been around the world with me. I have to say, though, that it has the 2nd worst coating I have ever seen on a knife. Well, it used to have. It got so bad I had to sand what was left off of it. Almost all of my coating wore off. I'd be surprised if yours didn't end up the same way :-( but hey the good news is the steel underneath the crap coating was awesome on mine :-)

Interesting.

Ok, so I filed it down a little and dropped some oil inside the sheath..hopefully keeping it coated will reduce the wear.

i just bought a fake nimravus from china and the sheath was a soft nylon type sheath with velcro.
