I don't understand why Zviad Jakhua- who gives away his app for free- is not given more recognition in the knife world, but his well-maintained database/app is a treasure. One of the unsung heroes of the knife world. Not only is the appweb site amazing, but he's one of the nicest guys I've met in the virtual knife world!
I tried to get Boye of Boye knives to contribute, but I think maybe that's cobalt more than nitrogen technology. Is that in the same world as what you are doing? I also just scooped up my grail knife, a Ferrum Forge Stinger in SM-100, but again, that's not what you are interested in, right?
Regardless, I would recommend getting in touch with Zviad to share info- the guy is my hero. As far as I can tell, he has not tried to monetize his work in any way whatsoever, truly a passion project.
I'm really interested in your work! I would like to get a fillet knife for use surf fishing. Something that can't corrode. This year in Cape Cod, I was knee deep in the surf for like 15 minutes and my knife had rust within 3 hours (just an old Spyderco Rookie). Also, with fish I want to keep, I do NOT let them suffer - whether it's a trout or a blue fish I can't stand to see guys just throw fish on the beach/bank/cooler/boat deck to suffocate- so IMO a good fillet knife would have something like a glass breaker / spike to dispatch a fish intended for consumption ASAP.
Looking forward to following developments with your work. As far as I know, there aren't any good fishing knives with this feature. I use a billy club now but it'd be much easier if the knife had that built in!
