NJ Steel Baron Did It Again!

The site looks clean and did need to be updated but I kinda like the quicker navigation on the old site.

Same here. Particularly in the 1084 category. Have to select each width one at a time to try to figure out that there's not much in stock.

I was asked why this thread was left up in Shop Talk:

The thread is about Aldo's (NJSB) new web site....not about his steel for sale.
Many of the people in Shop Talk use this supplier, so knowing about the new website is useful to the group ,as a whole.
Many new makers are directed to buy steel from Aldo.
Aldo has a dealer/provide level membership on Bladeforums, so it is not SPAM.

That, plus, Aldo lives in New Jersey, and knows people who could have me whacked if I lock his thread:)

I like the looks of this one, but I sure wish you would have all of one type of steel widths and thicknesses and their prices showing on one page similar to the old site. I don't care for the drop down menus. If I want several different widths and thicknesses, that's a lot of drop down menus to work through only to find out that some of them are out of stock!

I agree; I like the overall site but I wish I could select a thickness and see all the widths and availability in that thickness.

That being said it looks nice!

I feel really stupid asking this, but what do the colors on the steels mean on nj`s website??

I kept the volume to high for to many years and as a result I dont hear good on the phone, glad to have the option of the website. This site is different for sure but after reading Stacy's thoughts I have no complaints

As far as grids and all that, we'll work on something. We've been playing with the idea of the drop-downs have sizes that are not in stock removed from the menu. Sorry if my posting this offended anyone, I just appreciate the feedback from the guys on here. Thanks to Mr. Apelt for letting it ride. We're gonna have a lot of information available on our website as time goes on, with hopefully even some people here writing articles for the blog, all pertaining to knifemaking whether hobby or business. And we'll see how it goes from there. Cheers.

Seen it, loved it and will be buying from it again! One suggestion, can you guys add a chart that lists the closest comparative sizes from millimeter sizes to fraction sizes?
