NJ what a Joke!

Daddy made my first slingshot for me in about 1956. He looked all over our part of Birmingham (Alabama! Where'd you think?) to find one of the last red rubber inner tubes to make it with. Red rubber inner tubes were reputed to be "stretchier" and the best type to make slingshots with back then. I'll bet you've never even owned a tire that took an inner tube, much less knew there used to be red ones. I even used inner tubes in the old, leaky tires I bought for a couple of bucks apiece at junkyards when I was a poor, starving college student in the early 1970s. To save money and be more self sufficient, I bought two tire tools and taught myself to mount and demount tires in my back yard. I used the base of a bumper jack to break the beads, a rope twisted with a stick to seat beads, and I pumped them up by hand. WD-40 was the best lubricant I found. I guess that has nothing to do with slingshots, though. :D
 
How about the fact that BLOWGUNS are illegal? As a teacher I can tell you that NJ is filled with left wing liberal idiots. I wear my NRA tshirts every faculty day I can just to piss them off. What a bunch of idiots here. There are exactly 6 1/2 testicles in this whole state and I own 2 of them. Stay away, it sucks here.
 
You could always come down to Texas. We are a friendly bunch down here with great gun and knife laws. We play pretty good football, basketball and baseball too.
 
And here I am looking forward to moving out of NJ and back to CA in the next year or so... :confused: If it wasn't for the Sierras, the desert, and the pacific ocean I'd be very tempted to stop somewhere in the middle and call it good enough...
