The New Jersey Blacksmith's Association is holding they're meeting at the blacksmith shop at Peter's Valley Craft Center in Layton NJ this Saturday from 10-?. All are welcome, free to attend and I think there'll be hot dogs and such. Bring tailgating items and an item for the iron in the hat please!

I will be demonstrating the Japanese technique of hot dog in a bun weld and maybe a laminated axe, and Dick Sargent the head of the blacksmith shop there will do a demonstration on anvil tooling and traditional joinery, and we will both talk about metallurgy.

Any idea what time it will go till Sam? Hopefully i could stop by after class.

Sam, do you have any idea if jersey transit goes anywhere close to where the meeting is being held? I'd like to come by.
Thanks

I think trains come into Sussex or Newton maybe?

I think and am pretty sure NJ transit runs into Port Jervis, I could come through and pick you up it's on my way also but I am going through early like 830

It does go to port jervis. Thanks for the offer. I couldn't get out to port jervis till about 4 pm or so. I'll see if I can figure out how to get to Peters from there. Maybe I'll come out for an hour or three, if you folks will be there till 8 or so.
