I picked this up recently and don't know the full story behind it, but it sure is an attractive knife. Far as i can tell, it is like new. Still has a very high polish and doesn't show any scratches or wear anywhere. This is the large Gunstock pattern, 4 1/4" closed. The covers are green jigged bone an a honeycomb looking pattern and the NKCA medallion let in. Clip blade has a very deeply engraved design stating its a proposed 1985 NKCA club knife. Spey blade is stamped "Prototype". One tang has the large Q logo, the other says Queen City. Spey blade is off center, almost touching the liner. Both blade tips sit just proud of the handle when closed. I would have ground a tiny bit off the kicks to fix this, but didn't want to screw with an otherwise pristine rare knife (I'm assuming it's rare, not sure how many of these are out there). Couldn't bring myself to carry it, and i don't collect safe queens, so on it goes. Asking just what i paid, $125 shipped and fees included. US sale only.

I own a few prototypes NKCA knives. These were sold in auction when the NKCA Knife Museum closed. I believe they are all one off.
