NMFBM, BWM LE and Basic 9 review....

I could be wrong here but I think the NMFBM CG had a convex grind with a V edge applied and the NMFBM LE was fully convexed right to the edge .... but whichever way .... there is no massive difference in terms of sabre grind v convex grind .... the benefits of a convex edge over a V edge are a little more noticeable in terms of how long they can stay sharp .... especially if you have a high or acute V edge ... a more robust obtuse V edge does last a bit longer but is not quite as sharp at the beginning.

I stripped my CG model straight away and took the convex grind to the edge as per the LE version .... so I am not entirely sure if the CG had a sabre grind ....

Thanks for the reply :D

I Didnt word my question very well because I was talking about the grind on the Bushwacker mistress LE, BWM LE. I was pretty tired, thats my excuse

I've seen another review you did on the BWM LE, where you said it is probably destined to become your favourite Busse, and were loving it so much you forgot to take pictures, lol. That review was enough for me to go ahead and get one, as long as my government allows it into the country! That's England just incase you have any insight.

The busse website says the BWM LE has a saber grind, but I think it will be sufficient for what I want to use it for.

Cheers

Great review. I understand that kind of "torn" feeling if forced to choose one. I love the NMFBM, but would probably select the BWM amongst the big blades if forced to choose one for any future scenario.

You should have no problem bringing in the BWM LE to the UK .... I have never had an issue on being able to bring them in .... should you ever need to return the knife to Busse for warranty work keep the sticker that the customs will add to the package setting out the duty you have to pay. That way when it comes back from warranty or a Spa treatment should you ever send it you can quote the reference number on the sticker to establish that you have paid the duty on the knife. That is the only issue I ever have had and thankfully had the paperwork to sort it.

Great choice by the way  The BWM LE is either pretty enough to just gaze at .... or if you want to use it .... it is just about perfect IMO ....

To everyone who has posted that they enjoyed the review ... many thanks .... it is appreciated :)
