NMFBM, I may pass...

ah, from the days of the SNFO being offered, tis wise to get at least ONE of a good design; woe to he who sees one later and desires it.. HE shall be greatly charged for his earlier indescretions! Agreed with JEEPNUT>> SELL FLUIDS ! :-)

My new rule of thumb for Busse is this: If you "think" you might like it, order it. If not, you'll wish you had when your trying to find one on the secondary market :D I'm still looking for an "affordable" standard SFNO.

No regrets.

Fudge it ..... gona cancel order today....

I don't need anymore New style Busses.. I can accomplish what I want with my FSH and RUCK

Don't do it. You'll regret it and pay more in the secondary market. The only Busse I've ever cancelled was the SD and I can't say that I have any regret in that decision though. The NMFBM is not the SD. YMMV

The truth is , I am starting to back out of buying anymore Busses unless a special SHSJ pops or something.. I have gone through too many different types of Busses..

I need to expand into different things.I found an amazing knifemaker that lives almost next door to me. Simply put, I'm stunned at his work and now find myself coming up with endless ideas for custom blades...
My first project is a cutting competition knife. I am requesting M4 steel which "supposedly" blows infi out of the water.. I won't believe it until I use it..
Basically, I am done buying infi unless a few select models pop up..

I think that's the only way to look at it, and Jerry's whole marketing plan is based on making that a sound move for his customers. If you know with certainty that any model you buy is going to be discontinued after a relatively short run, you can be assured it will gain in value based on scarcity once it's no longer available. That means any Busse knife you buy will likely be worth at least what you paid for it if not more once it's been discontinued, so if you buy one and play with it for awhile and decide it's not for you, just put it in a drawer and wait for the run to be discontinued. In the case of a longer-run version like the ASH-1, you might have to wait awhile before appreciation kicks in, but you know it will happen eventually. Look at the original SHBM's, the Ergo's and even the Basic line. They were produced for much longer than any current models and in large numbers, and all have appreciated nicely over the past few years.

The other great feature of Jerry's plan is that even if you buy a knife and decide to use it, and subsequently beat the hell out of it, if you find something you like better you can probably even sell your old beater after a couple of years for what you paid or more. That's a very rare opportunity for buyers of high-performance blades.

Jerry has really taken care of us as buyers and has managed to stimulate growing interest in Busse knives at the same time, which is just another example of his win-win philosophy for his company and his customers.

Hats off to The Man with the plan...and remember the GregB rule!

I broke down and ordered a second one. Damn my weakness! Have you held out, GregS?

Im still holding on, like an addict Im taking it one HOUR at a time. One DAY at a time is too much at the moment. I should start IA (Infiholics Anonymous)...
Hi, my name's Greg and Im Infiholic...:p

Higher hardness, higher wear-resistance, higher amount of heat before its temper changes. If you're using your knife as an industrial paper slitter, it may do better than INFI. Depending on how else you use it, it might blow a similarly shaped INFI blade out of the water, too, if it's run at a higher hardness than INFI.

I haven't used CPM-M4, but if it's anything like its brother, M2, you're in for quite a treat.

Thanks Man ,

I am passing on the NMFBM for sure

Look at my avatar.... that is the blade I have on order.. It will cost almost as much as 2 NMFBMs... NO REGRETS at all here.

The only difference will be that I am requesting translucent g11 handles :)

I can't wait to use a blade made of M4... Tim Horan (knifemaker) said he cut through about 20 water bottles with that monster. The only thing that stopped him from cutting more was the table size.. :D

Don't get me worng though.. INFI is still my all out favorite Steel EVER !!!!
I just want to see what else is out there.. :)

I don't have any money, but I have a few knives I will probably sell.

I look at this like the Rat Daddy of Busse. The Rat Daddy is the ultimate Swamp Rat, and this should be the ultimate (production) Busse. If it is as awesome as I think it will be, then I would kick myself for not snagging one when I had a chance.

Think about how much they will cost in a couple years.

Once again ... Rat F for the win!

He is so right I can't even remember what wrong is like.

Don't make a mistake ... get one.
