I have (had) this big pine tree near the corner of my house, that just got out of hand size wise, and the boss said it was time for it to go. :) I had to get on the roof to trim it, it would hit the house and gutters during storms, and it was not growing in a direction that was safe. ----So, what an opportunity to break out the big gun!:eek: Here are the pics for your viewing pleasure. Only the NMFBM LE was used. It was fun, and now I have some more fun work to do! My son got in on the fun as well.

Great pic's and nice going....

The NMFBM is a great "user" knife.... did'nt get the LE but stripped/thinned a CG....it is my most used Busse by far ....

That looks like a lot of work. Fun never the less. I like the pic of you and the tree like you are calling it out!..

May I ask, how long did that take you
To trim the bottom branches so we could get to the trunk - less than 4 minutes.

About 12 to 14 minutes to get through the trunk - I was amazed at how quickly it went.

I was going through the large branches in 2 to occasionally 3 hits no more! about half way up as I was trimming the downed tree, the branches went through in one hit.

Even I am amazed.

Not a chainsaw, but a whole lot more fun!
