Ilabrador, so you paid 1000 for the trip and they took your fish? 148kg is about 326lbs..... Tuna is 10 dollars a pound here at least. That's 3,200 dollars for the Crew plus your 1,000.......... I need to buy a boat lol.

Anttheknee, they did not take my fish.
When big game fishing it is common that the fish cought belongs to the crew.
And it is very uncommon to catch tuna this large, they were happy, they made a lot of money that day.
It is a great experience to fight against a fish this strong, can only recommend it.
Personally I would have liked it better to release it again but yeah, its a lot of money for a small boat charter company, especially in Croatia.
I would have loved to have my cgfbm with me to butcher it, would have been some great pics...

I've heard of some charter boats like that, however there are a few here in New York and Connecticut that allow you to keep the fish or at least half of it. In any case though it is a great time! Can't wait for the spring to get back out on the water, hopefully I'll have a FBM by then also! Nice catch!
