Anybody know how long it's been since the NMFBM was last offered? After the last few straight handled mistress offerings, I think we need some fusion goodness.

I'm hoping for an 11 inch BGFBM myself. I like INFI too, but for me SR-101 means I get to try out a lot more blades :)

It's an epic chopper... my favorite. Here's some porn...

I love the NMFBM-However if Busse decides to offer them again, they will not be cheap, even in CG Variety-I would however be interested because they are truly an exceptional Chopping knife!!! Hope it happens

There were some NMFBM's at BladeShow last year. Combat Grade Variants and Cerakoted versions. I believe they were all below $700. As mentioned, when and if they come back they won't be cheap. Two years ago when I got a satin one from the custom shop the base price was $797.

All the more reason for Battle Grade goodness :D

Just wild speculation, but based on the recent BGBMs and the BG WTF, it seems like 11.5" of thick cut sr-101 with a full height grind, fusion handle and no meltdown might be able to squeeze in ~$400 during a HOG trough special. Maybe satin and CG versions too for those with deeper pockets than me :)

This is one of those offerings I've been waiting on, it won't be cheap if it does happen, but I'll drop a boat load of cash on multiple knives if it does!!!!!

I'd be fine with a partial melt down. Just dehorn it at both ends of the handle so it doesn't chaff the hand and leave the spine squared off.

Don't think I'd want to beat up a pretty satin one anyways. Combat Grade so I can strip it, please.

Maybe... But I have to say as much as I love the SR101, INFI is the way to go on the large choppers. It's simply the best. Still the point is well taken as it is a fantastic design on the NMFBM and a more affordable option would be welcome. In my opinion it is the best iteration yet of the chopper and the mistress line. There is a reason they don't pop up much on the exchange...

:D

I'm happy I got one... Way back in 2008
But as Jerry said once he makes a model it won't be offered again in that configuration
