Maybe... But I have to say as much as I love the SR101, INFI is the way to go on the large choppers. It's simply the best. Still the point is well taken as it is a fantastic design on the NMFBM and a more affordable option would be welcome. In my opinion it is the best iteration yet of the chopper and the mistress line. There is a reason they don't pop up much on the exchange...
.
Does anyone know what all thicknesses they've been offered in? A friend had a thinner one and I haven't seen or heard of one since. Unfortunately it was stolen in the mail.
The original CG's were roughly .25" coated which means once stripped they would be .25" or slightly under. All the rest, either LE's or show offerings vary up to as thick as a little over .29" which when coupled with G10 mags can be quite a difference in the weight. It's funny, .04" doesn't seem like a lot on paper, but across 17+ inches of INFI it shows up quickly in use.
Sorry to hear about the mail theft, that should be a hand losing offense for the people who like to make those kinds of wrongful choices.
The CGNMFBM I have is sage coated and is .275 Thick
I've heard of the .31 but never seen proof/confirmation of one, it sure would be nice to see one measured in a pic.
Is it an original run or one from a show since then? At the two shows I have been to there were a lot of CG coated NMFBM offerings that were all thick. The first show taught me to bring a micrometer to all future shows I attend.
Excellent, I have a 4" digital caliper I bought just for blade... Gotta know how thick that beefy infi is
