The NM (Nuclear Meltdown) treatment is the rounding of the spine, talon, choil and pommel area. It feels superb and adds so much to the F&F of the knife. My SFNO & NMSFNO to illustrate:

Never noticed this before, but it seems to also round the grind line, making it look kind of like a... a zero-edged saber grind, or a partial-height convex grind. It's an awesome effect and makes the knife look kind of blurry, and it's hard to tell whether it's concave or convex (at least from pictures). Optical illusion knives?

JERRY,

You done pulled a fast one on us!!!:grumpy:
First, you do a "POLE" to find out what the Majority of the "PEOPLE" want, In which the results clearly showed we wanted the LBStraight Handle Battle Mistress 65% to the
AA which only got 17%.
Second, you introduce the NMFSH (AWESOME) into our Thoughts, and got an overwhelming approval.:eek:
Then YOU RELEASE the ARGONNE ASSAULT LB....:confused::mad:
Are you running for political office?:foot:

STILL LOVE YOU, BUT WHAT GIVES :D:D:D

At least throw the HOGS A BONE!!! with some PICS:D

A big +1. No AA for me...waiting on the NMFSH:thumbup:

agreed X1000, on top of that you released a blade that is not for sale in my state...... :( ,I guess I should feel lucky, I will have more money for Christmas presents

What would I do with a double-edged knuckle knife?

A little too hardcore for anything I need to own, how could I even justify owning something that aggressive? With combat TDY's winding down, I don't imagine there is a lot of military use for it either. All I can see is the older teenage wanna-be psuedo-ninjas carrying that thing around, and gettting themselves into all kinds of trouble with it.....

Its not for me, I am going to pass on this one. I'm not even going to offer sheaths for it..... Definitely not my cup of tea.....

Bring on something I can use in the woods, hunting or outdoors camping and survival kind of things, now thats what I'm talking about.....

Kind of funny you say that even though the full name is Busse Combat Knife Company ;) not that I disagree with you though--I don't see much use for this one personally and I like Busse's outdoors knives more as well as their humongous knives simply because they're humongous. But if it ever helps someone get out of trouble in combat, well at least it's done its job.

I've learned a few things by passive observation. Busse cognoscenti are just that. I also submit that a "few" knives were sold/ordered in the recent Knoboganzaaa. These orders will take a certain finite period of time to fill. Busse Combat does not have an army of craftsmen/craftswomen to pump out product, and also have other (covert or other) clients other than retail to satisfy.

If a wildly anticipated knife (NMFSH or LBFBMsomething-or-other) were to be released contemporaneously with the Ganza orders, how angry would the "faithful" be when their orders were delayed longer than two standard deviations greater than the expected high end of wait-period? Yeah. So, an anticipated lightly subscribed, but spectacular, knife was offered in the interim (AA). The current hew and cry seems a little reflexive and unforgiving (overdone IMHO). But I'm drunk, so WTF!

Im sure they are out there but cant say Ive met to many teenagers that purchase $600 knives.

I feel like a teenager between the ears even if I exited that age-bracket almost 40 years ago. "Plan to order me" an AA before they are pulled . Yes, I'm still awake.

The combat part of the name was not lost on me. For that purpose, this blade design is superb, BUT: Personally, I received my last DD-214 quite a while back, and have no use for it as a civilian, and I don't imagine it would be carried by law enforcement; and, in general, for combat knives I prefer something that can move in my palm, such as from parry to slice to thrust and so on, and the knuckle knives are too clumsy and inflexible for my liking. Sure, you get a death grip with the knuckle rings, but you sacrifice the ability to maneuver the knife in your palm.

Finally, with combat roles winding down across the board, I think the real interest is in something with a wider range of applications, regardless of whether or not it is really a combat design.

Just my opinions. :-)

I think you hit it on the head. And if so, then the AA will pass quickly, and on to what we have all been waiting for..... Bring it.
