nmsfno or sarsquatch?

Just to clarify: There was never a Sabre SFNO LE, though there are a few Satin/Tiger sabres floating around. I've only seen one with a busse logo on it, and that one ain't going nowhere as long as ol' "longest-day-o-the-year" has it.

It is a HELL of a knife, though...as I'm sure BaliSlinger will attest. I will have another...have no doubts.

I may have assumed Saber Grind SFNO "LE" as most of the satin knives are LE. Satin Busse blades are rediculously high priced like LE's and an LE number means nothing to me. So, same difference to me. Semantics are relevant with all of the Busse configurations though I guess.

But, I don't see an "LE" # on any of these, so I guess they were some special run of SFNO's

Anyway, I like these Saber grind SFNO - Not personally particularly fond of the snakeskin with flat scales. But, I like all of the magnum scaled versions.

What is the story? When, where, how released? And how much did they originally cost?

The one with the flag in the background belongs to Solstice. Beautiful knife. I know the owners of some of the others as well. Truly, the SFNO is one of the more recognizable masterpieces in Busse's catalog. I'm on my iPhone, so some of those look like they're DC, but yeh...satin was obviously a stock configuration option on the original sabres, but there was never a serialized version. It would be an amazing reiusse, though it won't happen with the NMSFNO having just come out.

In regards to pure aesthetics for a Busse, the satin Saber Grind SFNO with mags is hard to beat in my book.

I don't have one as I missed the release during a period of my on and off busy with work periods. But, while I would like to have one, I won't pay the secondary market jacked up pricing. (* Why I love the company store way of selling and releasing knives.)

While the Satin Saber Grind SFNO might look a LOT nicer, I seriously doubt it actually performs in any way better than the SarSquatch.

For feel and function (not including the fact I don't like coatings), I feel pretty confident I would ultimately prefer the SarSquatch. I would still buy a Satin Saber SFNO with mags if I could buy at a reasonable price though.

I am still curious about the release info, price, etc.
