Hello friends.
Hello my friends.
One finished.
The handle is Karelian stabilized birch and the rest is elmax :)
Vacuum quenched and reduced to 60 rc. The blade is polished in one direction, satin finish. Circuit polished. The handle is glued with epoxy and tightened with screws
Total length 11"

Thickness 0.18''

Blade length 6''

The case is genuine leather.
Please, the knife is not an ax, nor can it cut steel rope or cut rails. I make knives for cutting. Thank you for your understanding. ;)

Thank you for viewing and possible interest.

With great respect Miro

Beautiful!
Is the blade steel Elmax?

birdave birdave Yes, the steel is Elmax. I like Elmax very much.Produced by Bohler-Uddenholm, ELMAX steel is a “high chromium-vanadium-molybdenum-alloyed steel,” made of 1.7 percent carbon, 18 percent chromium, .3 percent manganese, 1 percent molybdenum, .8 percent silicon, and 3 percent vanadium. This composition allows for the metal to have a high wear resistance, high compressive strength, superior corrosion resistance, and a very good dimensional stability, or the ability to retain its size and form even after taking abuse.

It is a handsome blade and sheath...... I've also liked Elmax from day one..Great all around steel perfect for 90% of typical knife uses!!!!!

Beautiful work as always!!!
